The aim of the project was to increase the level of consciousness of domestic violence phenomenon and the development and promotion of intervention model of mothers and children who are victims of domestic violence.

Aim of the Project – Increasing the level of consciousness of domestic violence phenomenon and development and promotion of intervention model of mothers and children who are victims of domestic violence.

Target group

• 1. Mothers and children who are victims of domestic violence in Sector 5 of Bucharest
• 2. Professionals and experts involved in prevention activities or identification/reference of the violence cases (teachers, priests and doctors)
• 3. Local Community of sector 5

Activities developed

Component 1 – Intervention in situation of crisis

During one year of this project we evaluated all the cases of domestic violence All the mothers and children are our beneficiaries who are helped by psychological counseling from our experts. They were supported to find a job. They received jurisdictional assistance and education services for the children.

Component 2 – Prevention of Domestic Violence Phenomenon

Discussions and meetings with local authorities (Mayor, Police) medical units orthodox church, teachers and parents.

Distribution of brochures in different zones of sector 5, discussions and meetings with children from the schools.
